WELCOME TO THE 2001 VANCOUVER INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL AND TRADE FORUM

Last year we hosted 400 screenings of 300 films at eight theatres. Our attendance figures for the past five years are between 125,000 and 130,000 patrons per year. Our Trade Forum increased its attendance and sponsorship, and was rated as the best ever by our sponsors, panelists and delegates. The demographics of the people who attended the Film Festival and Trade Forum are listed below.
   As the Vancouver International Film Festival celebrates its 20th Anniversary, plans are shaping up for the most visible and glamorous event in our history.    There are many areas of the VIFF and Trade Forum that can be used to profile your company, your products and your services to the best possible advantage.    Cost of sponsorship varies accordingly and involves a combination of cash and contra.

• Sponsor logo in the CBC-TV Sneak Preview distributed to 750 outlets
   in the Lower Mainland. 150,000 copies printed.
• Sponsor logo and official sponsor status in newspaper ads and on news
   releases. The Vancouver Sun is our official sponsor newspaper and last
   year sponsor logos were on approximately $200,000 worth of ads,
   including The Province, The Georgia Straight and most multi-cultural
   newspapers covering Vancouver and the Lower Mainland.
• Cross promotion opportunities utilizing our media sponsors.
• Special 10% discount price on ad in the Souvenir Program.
